Columbus School Apartments

Min Engineering, Inc. provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection system engineering design for 68,000 SF Columbus School Apartments in Baltimore, Maryland.

The project included rehabilitation of former historic Baltimore City School and conversion into 50 apartments with a new entrance, multi-story lobby, elevator core, community room, computer lab, and education center.  The design included high efficiency HVAC systems, energy efficient plumbing equipment, high efficiency domestic hot water heater, power distribution, fire alarm system, lighting and sprinkler systems for public common areas within the complex and apartment interior MEP fit-outs.

The building was designed to meet Baltimore City Green Building Standards, which are equivalent to LEED Silver.
