DOE Germantown Grid Tied Solar PV

Min Engineering, Inc. provided mechanical, electrical engineering design for DOE Germantown Grid Tied Solar PV in Germantown, Maryland. 

The project included 50kW of Solar Photovoltaic Panels used as the roof of the carport, 300kW Solar Photovoltaic Panels which are ground mounted, grid tie inverters and combiner boxes, wiring, conduit underground duct banks, panel board, and hand boxes. Connection of photovoltaic system to existing breaker at the existing 480V switch gear, an electric vehicle charging station, LED lighting for the carport were also provided. The estimated energy production per year is 450,000kWh.
