Min Engineering, Inc. provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering design and construction administration services for Phase I of the new minimum security pre-release complex at the Dorsey Run Correctional Facility in Jessup, Maryland.

This design/build project included a new minimum security pre-release complex at the Dorsey Run Correctional Facility (DRCF) to house 1,120 inmates.  The facilities included, etc.  The facility comprises of four, two-story housing units; one sally port; two, one-story support services building with administration area, security, classrooms, cafeteria, visiting areas, and healthcare; recreation yards and parking area.  Project included design for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, site utilities, power, standby diesel engine generators, automatic transfer switches, lighting, fire alarm, ductbanks, handholes, and 80’ high mast lighting.
