U.S. Naval Observatory and U.S. Vice President’s Residence

Min Engineering, Inc. provided mechanical and electrical engineering design and construction administration services for the U.S. Vice President’s Residence and U.S. Naval Observatory Facilities totaling 174,000 SF, in Washington, D.C.

The project included the decommissioning of existing central steam heating plant and associated steam distribution system. MIN also provided geothermal heat pump system to replace the existing steam heating air handling units.  U.S. Vice President’s Residence also included improvements of energy savings, heating system redundancy, and resolved life safety issues.
